Storms On The Prairie

Posted by PicasaAs I write this, the storm is coming. The winds are very strong, and are bitter cold. Just awhile ago it was warm. I can't believe the temperature change! The rain is now starting. In case we get blown away, I wanted you to see the pictures I got of it, right before it hit! :o)

I have been talking a lot about storms, I guess because we have had so many today. So many times, nature reminds me of the spiritual things of God. Start paying attention to nature, and you will see His hand. God speaks to us through nature, if we just listen.

I have never been frightened of storms, even as a child. For some reason, hearing the thunder soothes me, only because it has always been a reminder to me of God. The reason for this, when I was a little girl, I asked my Mom what the thunder was. She told me that it was God bowling in heaven, and every time he got a strike...thunder. That little story stuck with me. To this day, I wait for the strikes:)

Isn't that amazing? Seems like things like that do run in families. I saw on my sisters blog, that she and my other brother like old movies. I do too! Does your fellow like them too? Do you? Honestly, I would rather see a black and white movie anyday. I don't like the war and cowboy ones, though.

Then our future son in law bought him a box set of MANY CD's and nothing but OLD SCI-FI! (He likes them too) I got him back by buying my daughter season 1-3 of "Golden Girls", which she and I like! hahahaha! I better watch out because i bet in the future my husband gets more sci-fi gift CD's! hahahaha! I should have planted better seed, huh? Oops! lol!
