Rose Breasted Grosbeak

I saw one of these birds at my feeder the other day, but didn't know what it was. The next day I found an e-mail from my sister in law, with a picture of this same bird, and the name of it! Are we in sync or what? I love watching the birds, but haven't had much time to do so as of lately. I'm enjoying my new job, working with the handicapped. But it is going to be very difficult at times, because there is a lot to learn. Haven't had much time to post, however, because of the new job. I don't want to give this up, because I do enjoy it. So please bear with me, and check back to see if I have anything new. It may be days or weeks, before I can get back to post. But please don't give up on me! I will try to get back as often as I can. Love you all, and thank you for being patient with me:)

Hi Susie,
I have so many Rose Breasted Grosbeak at my feeder this year. It seems they have run out the other birds. Wonder if they are here all summer, or just traveling through? They are beautiful.

Just traveling through

Yes sis, they are beautiful! KRK said they are just traveling through. Too bad...I kinda wanted them to stay! I haven't bought food all spring, and my finches are trying to tell me to fill the feeder. They hang on the screen of my window, by the bird feeder. They did that last year too. Sometimes there would be 4-5 of them, looking in my window. I would look at the feeder, and sure enough, it was empty. Smart, aren't they?
