When God Says Wait....

A very dear friend of mine, Janet...sent me this sermon in e-mail. It is an excellent one! It also has something in it about " the resurrection of Lazarus " which also fits into my Mystery #1. There was a reason Jesus waited 4 days to resurrect him....listen to the  sermon  to find out! Those resurrected at Jesus death, were in their graves I'm sure even longer than 4 days. It sounds as if they had been dead a LONG time. This resurrection was to show those who killed Christ, that HE was who HE said HE was! This  sermon  is a very encouraging one...listen to all of it if you have time! Waiting is one of those things we all have a hard time doing....especially me! Thanks to all of you who have commented  on this subject!  Here's the link! http://gatewaypeople.com/sermons/2008/20080301_WhenGodSaysWait.html

A Note From Judie On Mystery #1....

This is a note from THE POWER NEW TESTAMENT (REVEALING JEWISH ROOTS) by William J. Morford. Glossary_Resurrected Body. Scripture cites a number of people resurrected from the dead, but only one of these, Jesus is resurrected to enternal life. Elijah and Elisha raised the dead, as did Jesus on numerous occasions, then Peter raised Tabitha and Paul raised Euticus. All of those who were raised simply returned to their human, earthy, mortal bodies. Since none is mentioned later in Scripture and apparently none is still alive, it is probably safe to believe that all have perished. Those resurrected bodies did not have any unusual qualities, other than returning to life after being dead. I love Him so much, as I know you do. HAVE A BLESSED DAY. Judie

Mystery # 1

Kristie and I talk about the Bible at times. When I first was saved, I studied the word quite a bit. I'm afraid I have been a little lax in the last few years. Somehow I always came across things that I had never seen or heard others talk about before. These things have and always will be mysteries to me. I assume God knows my inquisitive nature, and allows me to find these nuggets of truth. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has found these. Many Bible scholars out there, have found them too. So if any of you have found some of these things, please give me your comments and your interpretations. The first thing I would like to talk about is at the death of Christ. Now we all know that Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John are written  by each man that the book is named after. All four of these men were with the Savior throughout his last days. So each book is their own interpretation of the  events that they saw concerning the Lord's life, miracles, and death. As you already kno...
